Terms of use
These terms explain how SetsOfLove works and what we expect from you. Please read them before you create a profile. By creating an account or using SetsOfLove, you agree to them. If you don't agree, please don't use SetsOfLove.
1. Who we are
SetsOfLove is a simple dating-profile service for single gym-goers. It's run by an individual based in Western Australia. In these terms, "we", "us" and "our" mean the operator of SetsOfLove. "You" means anyone who creates a profile or uses the service.
SetsOfLove is a small, private project. It isn't a large dating company. We don't suggest or rank members for each other, and we don't make introductions. Each member promotes their own profile.
2. What SetsOfLove does
- Members create an account and build one profile with photos and written answers.
- We review every profile before it goes live.
- Each approved profile gets its own link, such as setsoflove.com/sam-t.
- Members share their own link with people they'd like to meet, using the share buttons or any other way they choose.
We may change, pause or end any part of the service at any time. We'll try to give notice of major changes.
3. Who can join
SetsOfLove is for single gym-goers of any gender, including men, women and non-binary people, who are looking to meet people. That might be dates, a relationship, marriage, friendship or just fun. Access is by invitation. To create an account you must:
- be at least 18 years old;
- be single, and not in a relationship, marriage or de facto relationship;
- go to a gym, have been invited to join and have a valid invite code;
- give us accurate information about yourself; and
- not be prohibited by law from using the service.
Each member may have one account and one profile. We may refuse, suspend or remove an account if we believe these conditions aren't met.
Anyone aged 18 or over may view a profile and use its share or contact options. You don't need an account to do that.
4. Your account
- Keep your password private. Don't share your account.
- You're responsible for everything done through your account.
- Tell us straight away if you think someone else has used your account.
- Keep your details up to date, including your email address.
5. Profile content rules
Keep it friendly and keep it clean. Your profile must follow these rules.
Photos
- Use clear, recent photos that show your face. Sunglasses and hats must not hide it.
- You must be the main subject of every photo.
- Photos must be clothed. Gym and everyday settings are fine.
- Only upload photos you have the right to share. Don't upload photos of other people without their consent.
- No screenshots, memes, or images with overlaid text or logos.
Written answers
- Write in your own voice, in plain language, and say what you're looking for.
- Don't include phone numbers, home addresses, social media handles or other contact details in public fields.
Not allowed anywhere on SetsOfLove
- Anything sexual, obscene, violent or threatening.
- Anything discriminatory, hateful, harassing or abusive.
- Political rants, or anything else we judge to be controversial.
- Anything false, misleading or impersonating another person.
- Anything illegal, or that infringes someone else's rights.
- Advertising, selling, scams or requests for money.
6. Approval, moderation and removal
We review every profile and every change to it before it goes live. We decide what's approved, and our decision is final. We may ask you to change a profile before approving it.
We don't check photos against identity documents. We don't verify that members are who they say they are. We don't run background, criminal-history or relationship-status checks. An approved profile isn't an endorsement or a guarantee of anything.
We may edit, hide or remove any profile or content, and suspend or close any account, at any time. We may do this without notice if we think it's needed to protect members, the public or the service. We don't owe you a refund or compensation if we do. SetsOfLove is free.
7. Your content and our licence to use it
You keep ownership of your photos and words. By submitting them, you give us a free, non-exclusive licence to host, store, copy, resize, display and share them. We use that licence only to run SetsOfLove. This includes showing your profile on your link and in the preview that appears when someone shares your link.
The licence lasts until you delete the content or your account, apart from backups that expire in the normal course (see the privacy policy). You promise that:
- you own your content or have permission to use it;
- it doesn't break any law or anyone's rights; and
- everyone who appears in your photos has agreed to it, where the law requires that.
The SetsOfLove name, logo and design belong to us. Don't copy or reuse them without our written permission.
8. Your profile link and sharing
Every approved profile has its own link (a "link stub"). The stub:
- uses lowercase letters, numbers and hyphens only, and is 3 to 30 characters long;
- shouldn't include your full surname or phone number;
- can't be offensive, misleading or a reserved word (such as admin, login, signup or api); and
- can be changed or removed by us if it breaks these terms.
Your profile is visible to anyone who has the link. Once you share it, you can't control who passes it on, saves it or takes a screenshot. Think before you share. Only share your link where you're comfortable with it being seen.
The share buttons open Facebook, X, WhatsApp, email or your device's own sharing menu. Those services are run by other companies under their own terms and privacy policies. We don't control them and we aren't responsible for what they do. If you share your link on social media, the platform and its other users may see it.
When your link is shared, the receiving app may show a preview with your first name, age, suburb, city, country and main photo. Check your profile to be sure you're happy with what it shows.
Search engines are asked not to list profiles. We can't promise they'll all respect that.
9. How to behave
When you use SetsOfLove, whether as a member or a visitor, you must not:
- harass, stalk, threaten, pressure or abuse anyone, or treat anyone with less respect because of their gender or who they're looking to meet;
- contact someone who has said no or asked you to stop, or who hasn't said they want to hear from you;
- copy, scrape or collect profile information, or use it for any purpose other than getting to know that person;
- share another member's profile, photos or details without their consent, except through the share tools they've been given;
- use SetsOfLove for commercial purposes, or to recruit for any business, scheme or cause;
- send spam or unsolicited commercial messages;
- try to break, overload, probe or bypass the security of the service; or
- use another person's account, or create a fake or duplicate one.
Breaking these rules may lead to removal and, where the law is broken, a report to police.
10. Meeting people safely
Meeting someone new carries risk, whether you find them here or anywhere else. You're responsible for your own safety. We strongly suggest that you:
- meet in a public place, and tell a friend where you're going and who with;
- organise your own transport and keep control of your own drinks;
- keep your home address, workplace and finances private until you really know the person;
- trust your instincts, and leave if you feel uncomfortable;
- never send money to someone you haven't met in person; and
- remember that a profile may be inaccurate, out of date or untrue.
In an emergency, call 000. If you feel unsafe because of something a member has done, tell us too.
11. Reporting a problem
If you see a profile or behaviour that breaks these terms, tell us using the contact details in section 17. Include the profile's link and what happened. We'll look into it and act where we can. We can't promise a particular outcome or timeframe.
12. Other websites and services
SetsOfLove may link to or work with other services, including social media platforms and our hosting providers. We aren't responsible for their content, availability or practices.
13. Availability
We aim to keep SetsOfLove running, but we don't promise it will always be available, secure, accurate or error-free. We may take it down for maintenance or for any other reason.
14. Our responsibility to you
SetsOfLove is provided free, "as is". We don't promise that you'll meet anyone, or that any person you meet will be honest, safe or suitable for you.
We aren't responsible for what members say or do, online or in person. That includes their profiles, messages, photos and behaviour. We aren't responsible for what you or anyone else do with a shared profile link.
Nothing in these terms limits any right you have under the Australian Consumer Law or other law that can't be excluded. Subject to that, and to the extent the law allows:
- we exclude all warranties and conditions not set out in these terms;
- we aren't liable for any indirect or consequential loss, loss of data or reputation, or emotional distress arising from your use of SetsOfLove; and
- where we are liable for a failure to meet a consumer guarantee that can be limited, our liability is limited, at our choice, to re-supplying the service or paying the cost of having it re-supplied.
15. Your responsibility to us
To the extent the law allows, you agree to cover our reasonable costs and losses if a third party makes a claim against us because you broke these terms, posted unlawful content, or misused the service.
16. Ending your account
You can delete your profile or account at any time from your account settings, or by asking us. We'll remove your profile link and delete your information as set out in the privacy policy. Some clauses keep applying after your account ends, including sections 7, 14, 15 and 18.
We may suspend or end your account at any time if you break these terms or we decide to close the service.
17. Contact us
Use the contact email shown at the bottom of this page. We'll reply as soon as we reasonably can.
18. General
- Changes. We may update these terms. We'll show the new date at the top and, for significant changes, tell members by email. Using SetsOfLove after a change means you accept it.
- Privacy. Our privacy policy explains how we handle your personal information. It forms part of these terms.
- Governing law. These terms are governed by the laws of Western Australia and the Commonwealth of Australia. You agree to the non-exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of Western Australia.
- If part is unenforceable. If a clause can't be enforced, the rest still applies.
- No waiver. If we don't enforce a right straight away, we haven't given it up.
- Whole agreement. These terms and the privacy policy are the full agreement between you and us about SetsOfLove.
- Assignment. You can't transfer your account. We may transfer ours to a successor of the service.
